Art is Everywhere
While the Springfield Art Museum undergoes an exciting transformation, we believe that the opportunity to experience art across our community shouldn’t pause. That’s why we decided to support the Springfield Art Museum’s Art is Everywhere initiative with a grant to expand community-based arts engagement during the Museum’s renovation and temporary closure. This program brings accessible, collection-inspired arts experiences directly into neighborhoods, schools, libraries, and digital spaces. Through monthly themes and weekly creative prompts, Art is Everywhere encourages residents to pause, observe, and discover art in daily life. The program fosters creativity, curiosity, and meaningful community connection beyond museum walls.

The Hatch Foundation is thrilled to support Art is Everywhere, a creative outreach initiative from the Springfield Art Museum that keeps art alive, accessible, and inspiring even while the Museum undergoes its multi-year renovation and expansion.
While the Museum’s physical doors are temporarily closed, this program extends its mission into the community—meeting people where they are and affirming that art is not confined to gallery spaces.
Through a combination of in-person outreach and digital engagement, Art is Everywhere activates neighborhoods, parks, schools, libraries, and community partner sites with collection-based, hands-on arts learning experiences. Each month introduces a new theme designed to spark curiosity and creative exploration. Complementing these experiences is a weekly series of open-ended prompts shared online, encouraging participants to pause, observe patterns, light, color, and small details in their surroundings, and recognize the artistry embedded in everyday life.
These prompts are intentionally accessible and reflective, inviting engagement without pressure or prerequisites. Participants are encouraged to share their discoveries, strengthening a sense of shared creativity and community dialogue.
Our grant supports the expansion and sustainability of this work at a pivotal time for the Museum. By investing in Art is Everywhere, The Hatch Foundation affirms that art belongs to everyone and can be encountered anywhere. Even beyond museum walls, creativity continues to inspire wonder and cultivate a deeper understanding of our shared human experience.
